The University of Florida Graduate School coordinates the graduate programs of all schools and colleges of the university. Students interested in pursuing a graduate degree at UF should contact the departments directly to learn more about admissions criteria. UF offers more than 250 graduate degree programs. Review your degree programs for application requirements.
The UF Identification Number
24-48 hours after submitting your online application, your 8-digit UFID will be available on the status of your application. Please use the same username and password used to submit your CollegeNET application.
This number is unique to you and should be used in all e-mail communication and any subsequent applications submitted. It is critical that you do not submit additional applications without using your assigned UFID as that can significantly impact the matching of test scores, transcripts and financial aid information to your academic record.
Test Score Requirements
Test score results must be sent directly to UF from the testing agency.
Most applicants must submit GRE scores that are acceptable to the program of interest. Contact the program for specific requirements. Some MFA, MM, Art Ed., Music Ed. Performance students with the College of the Arts do not need GRE scores.
All MBA applicants must submit satisfactory scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test. GMAT scores may also be accepted by certain MHA, Sport Management, and Food and Resource Economics programs. Contact individual departments for specific requirements.
FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) – Some engineering programs will accept FE scores as a substitute for the GRE. Contact individual programs for requirements.
Applicants with a previous graduate or professional degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution may be exempt from the Graduate Record Exam or Graduate Management Admission Test at the program’s discretion.

When reviewing applications from international applicants, the Office of Admissions considers the characteristics of the national system of education, the level of studies completed, the quality of achievement, the type of institution attended, and the suitability of preparation for the proposed program.
